Shelly is a volunteer for Latinx in Publishing and serves as the Bronx Book Festival Kidlit Committee Co-chair, a Representation Matters mentor, and a POC in Pub mentor.
Shelly is seeking middle-grade and young adult fiction that is: contemporary, magical realism, fantasy that leans more on magic (think witches/brujas), spooky/horror/thriller. Not particularly looking to review fantasy or historical fiction.
The following materials must be sent via email to email@example.com. Emails that do not follow instructions will not be accepted.
Submit the following no later than 4/5/19
- Submit up to 10-20 pages of the manuscript
- 150 word Synopsis (see sample synopsis here)
- Send as double-spaced. Times New Roman format in a Word file with SR-DOM CONF 5/4/19 in the subject line.
Writers will meet with reviewer during the conference for 15 minutes to discuss their manuscript submissions. Writers will also receive their mansucripts with notes.
