Raquel I. Penzo, founder of La Pluma y La Tinta, is a Dominican-American writer, editor, and literary event curator from Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and currently works as a senior copywriter at Brooklyn Public Library, and as a non-fiction editor for Serving House Books. Her stories have been published in PANK magazine and in Mason’s Road, and her poems were included in the AfroLatinx poetry anthology, ¡Manteca!, published by Arte Publico Press.

- Submit up to 10 pages of the manuscript pitch (see sample here)
- 150 word Synopsis (see sample synopsis here)
- Send as a single Word file with RP-DOM CONF 5/4/19 in the subject line.
Writers will meet with reviewer during the conference for 15 minutes to discuss their manuscript submissions.
