Marcela Landres is the author of the e-book How Editors Think: The Real Reason They Rejected You, publishes the award-winning e-zine Latinidad, and is an Editorial Consultant who helps writers get published by editing their work and advising them on how to manage their writing careers.

  • Marcela seeks Fiction and nonfiction including but not limited to: Novels (literary, magical realism, mainstream, commercial, adult, young adult, chick lit, street lit, women’s, romance, historical, mystery, thriller, suspense), short story collections, memoirs, self-help, inspiration, pop culture, and New Age. Not Seeking: Children’s books (specifically, anything for middle grade or younger readers), cookbooks, poetry, science fiction and fantasy, as well as works in Spanish.

    Submit the following no later than 4/29/19

    • Up tp 10 double-space pages of the manuscript
    • 150 word Synopsis (see sample synopsis here)
    • Send as a single Word file with ML-DOM CONF 5/4/19 in the subject line.


    Writers will meet with reviewer during the conference for 15 minutes to discuss their manuscript submissions.
