We’re celebrating the spirit and stories of Dominican moms with a special event that combines the joy of candle making with the laughter and connection of shared stories. It’s the perfect way to spend time with your family, honor the matriarchs in your life, and create something beautiful together.

Event Features:

• Candle Making Workshop: No experience? No worries! We’ll guide you through the process of making your own scented candle. You’ll choose from a variety of scents, add personal touches with decorations, and craft a candle that’s uniquely yours.
• Reading Segment - “Dominican Moms Be Like”: Prepare to laugh and nod along as we dive into stories and sayings that perfectly capture the essence of Dominican motherhood. This segment is all about celebrating the quirks, wisdom, and love of Dominican moms through relatable anecdotes and heartfelt humor.

What You Get:

• All the supplies you need for candle making: soywax, an apron, a selection of scents, an 8 oz jar, and decorative elements like crystals and dried flowers.

• A special time dedicated to celebrating and sharing in our cultural stories, bringing everyone a bit closer through laughter and creativity.

We encourage our participants to write a note or letter to the women in their lives and read it during the  event.
